I was born and raised in North Carolina (USA), but ever since I was a child I knew that I wanted to live in Australia and moved 'down under' in 2001. I received my Bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University, spent a few years employed at the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary, five years as a senior veterinary nurse in small animal clinics, and completed my Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Melbourne. I am a member of the Australian Veterinary Association & International Association of Animal Hospice & Palliative Care. When I am not helping pets and their families, I enjoy surfing and horse riding.

I have chosen this specialist field as I am committed to a peaceful & respectful end-of-life for all animals.

If you are anything like me, you have an incredible bond with your pets. You watch them age with fondness and love, and hearing the news that your pet is unwell is heartbreaking. I am here to help hold you up during the hardest part of being a pet parent. I will guide and support you every step of the way, and provide a very gentle and peaceful farewell for your best friend.

It speaks of an other-worldly place where pets go upon death, eventually to be reunited with their owners. The poem goes...
